Helmsley is a small, bustling market town situated on the southern boundary of the North York Moors National Park. In and around the town square area is an impressive array of shops, award-winning delicatessens, tea-rooms, restaurants, hotels (one with a leisure spa) and licensed premises. Within the town there is also an Arts Centre, Helmsley castle (English Heritage), a recently restored walled garden, a heated outdoor swimming pool. Just outside the town you will find Duncombe Park, the ancestral home of the Feversham family and Riveaux Abbey (EH). Apart from the magnificent countryside of the National Park, other attractions such as , Nunnington Hall (National Trust), heritage steam railway at Pickering, Flamingo Land and Castle Howard are close by. The property is beautifully maintained, fully furnished , spacious and well-equipped -ideal for all ages, including families with children .
